TROYES: 31-IV-09

We found Troyes a delight, a city of magnificent Gothic churches and charming 16th century courtyards, in an historical center shaped like a champagne cork. We enjoyed strolling through streets with half-timbered houses. The city is famous for its heritage of stained glass and sausages (andouillettes), its knitwear industry, and factory stores.

Big Labour Day celebrations were going on while we were there. Folks were selling traditional Edelweiss (muguet) and if you get one with 13 flowers, it will bring you luck.
